I have had the honor of caring for the kestrels at the Desert Museum some years ago, and they are absolutely the most beautiful raptors in the desert! They have the largest eyes compared to their head, stunning complementary colors of blue and orange, and a wonderful spotted pattern on their breast and wings. And, they eat mice! What's not to love?
